New Stove

Picture
Here is our new stove!  Like the old stove, it was chosen by my husband on account of features.  But this time, I helped with other aspects of selection. Read: I picked the color. It would be misleading not to admit that the new stove is intimidating.  It has a very  confident, capable feel to it. There's also a mysterious, knowing quality about it. The new stove is more cool than pretty, but I think it could also be completely beautiful. It's intimidating in the way a together, accomplished women can be. It can boil water really fast. It's not waiting around while you look for a lid. This is an alluring stove.  But I'm shy; I don't want to bug the stove with my underbaked ideas. Yet I also sense a willingness on the part of the stove to interact. This stove has capacity. This stove can handle a lot. This stove might like underbaked ideas.  This is a stove with a lot to offer but nothing to prove. It has a purpose, and you can be part of that. As an unregenerate non-cook, I know I have little credibility and less to bring to the table, but maybe this is the kind of stove that can see beyond all that.
